Biography

Toby Murillo is a film director based in Los Angeles, CA. He has served as a film director and writer for several film projects. His career began when he was a teenager. He has written, directed, and produced: “A Bad Not So Bad” (feature film, 2009), “Do You Love Me?” (short film, 2011), and “Who is the Madman?” (short film, 2019). Between 2011 and 2017, he dedicated himself full-time to writing five scripts for feature films, occasionally participating in film projects in several countries. In 2018, he published his first novel, “Heavenly Conspiracy” in two languages: English and Spanish. In 2019, he wrote, directed, and produced the successful short film «Who is the Madman?» which is based on his novel “Heavenly Conspiracy.” In 2022, he wrote, produced, and directed the stage play «Ya Entendí Es Mejor Aquí» for USAID, CARI, and Creative Associates International INC. That same year, his short film “Who is the Madman?” qualified for an Oscar® nomination. He is currently working on his novel titled «Help» and developing his new feature film.
